On May 8, our General Manager, Andreu Vilà, participated in a round table discussion on the regulation of Extended Producer Responsibility for Packaging in Spain during the III Edition of the Business Challenge Conference on the Circular Economy of Packaging. At this meeting, organized by the CEOE The main players involved in the challenge of promoting more efficient management of packaging and packaging waste gathered at the meeting. With the participation of the administrations and companies in the sector, crucial issues such as the challenges and solutions in the management of packaging waste in Spain, business experiences and case studies, as well as the regulation of extended producer responsibility for packaging, were addressed.
More than 200 attendees joined in this event, demonstrating the interest and determination of the Spanish business community to promote efficient public-private collaboration in favor of environmental and social sustainability. In addition, he stressed the importance of the time required for companies to adapt to the changes required on this path towards the circular economy, recognizing that the deadlines cannot be the same for all sectors or for all companies.
